I didn’t read it alongside my last journey to the Tower and I didn’t feel like I was missing out, but SK includes it on his official list of DT-related books.ĩ./10. I personally didn’t feel like the slog was worth it, but you’re welcome to make your own decision! Okay, yes, Insomnia does have characters & concepts that are important in the Dark Tower finale, but it’s just soooo slow and long. optional: Bryant’s reading list suggests the novella “The Mist” (published in Skeleton Crew), which you’re welcome to read (it’s great) but I don’t really think it’s necessary the graphic novels from Marvel cover more of Roland’s earlier life, but aren’t necessary for the full DT plot.Ĩ.
